  1. The first one would be -6, and the second one would be 2000

  2. interger just means a whole number (trust me) so -6

but the other question you didnt explain so well

  3. An integer is a positive number, negative number, or 0.

The 2 lines around a number like l2l means "the absolute value of 2". Absolute value is always positive. Absolute value is how many units that number would be from 0 on a number line. For example, if the problem was l2l then the answer would be 2, because 2 is 2 units from 0. Another example, if the problem was l-2l then the answer would also be 2, because -2 is also 2 units from 0.

    6 degrees below zero= -6 degrees

2,000 ft above sea level= 2, 000 ft above sea level

    Hope this helps!

  4. An integer is a whole number - meaning no decimal places.

so as your other helper here says -

    6 is a whole number so below zero = -6 (minus 6)

2,000 feet is already a whole number and as it is above sea level it is 2,000 feet (NOT a minus)

  5. 6 degrees below zero is -6

and the other is just 2,000

a number is negative if it is below zero or a loss.

A loss of ten pounds (-10)

    Withdraw $100 (-100)

Below sea level is a negative, b/c if zero is sea level below it is the negatives and above is the positives.
