Plz something wrong with computer (cant open up new windows)?

For some reason my computer wont open up new windows in internet explorer.

it used to be just fine but now everytime I click a link that requires a new window the computer just freezes for a minute. I have no clue how to fix it and its extremely annoying I have to "copy shortcut" and paste for every link.
