why is the difference between the durations of day and night hardly felt at kanniyakumari but not so in kashmir????

kannyakumari is nearer the equator and Kashmir is further away.

As we go away from the equator the difference between the day light and night hours increase . The difference is maximum at the Arctic and the Antarctic regions where there is sun for 6 months and no sun for the next six months.
