  1. No you have friends.  I live off of VA disability $728 a month my SSDI is only $300.  Not only do I have to live off of this but I love to compete in pageants.  The entry fees alone can run between $500 to $1000.  That does not take into account gowns, hotels, airfare, food all of which can be hundreds of dollars.

I just competed in a national pageant that will end of having a total cost of around $2,000.

I do it because Iove it and find ways to cut down on cost.  I share my hotel rooms with other girls and buy used clothing off of ebay or from consignment shops.  I also buy food from the dollar store and make use of the food programs in the area.  I was able to move into income based housing so my rent is fairly low.

Things will work out I promise.

  2. Your dream is the culprit here.  If you can neither get satisfaction from your 'dream' or leave it behind...you are in for a poor life.

    Try for a new direction.

Don't take my word for it - seek real professional guidance.  Or go to a movie, preferably with someone who isn't bogged-down with self-loathing.

  3. I went broke and stayed that way for several years, trying to pursue my dreams of being a professional race car driver. I was "up and coming" for seven years, before I gave up. I always finished ahead of Bob and Al Unser, and I was ahead of them in national points, but they got the big rides. The smallest expense was enough to put me in the hole financially. Salesmanship is  lot's more important than ability or even results. Good luck. Mine ran out 40 years ago. I had to get a job and punch a time clock. Now retired and enjoying it.
