Plz tell me that who composed the national song ( VANDE MATRAM ) of INDIA ?

in some books it is given as bankim chandra chattopadhyay while in some it is given as bankim chandra chatterji.........i am really cunfused between these two.........plz help me..........

  1. The Vande Mataram was composed by Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay in a mixture of Bengali and Sanskrit.  He is also known as Bankim Chandra Chatterjee   While Chattopadhyay is in Bengali, British called him Chatterjee.
