Plzzz help my sisters comp doesn`t start!! 10 points for best?

I put the power on and tried to make the comp start but it doesn`t!! it just says "no signal" and NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE WIRES! we`ve checked properly

The power and everything is on but the screen is blank and it was working just fine 10 mins ago!!

plzzz help.what can be wrong with it??

youmakemeverymad is mostly right. No drivers in the computer will not cause this sort of problem, so it sounds like a hardware issue.

Try using a different monitor, and if that doesn't work you (or a friend who knows how) take out the video card and put it back in. Sometimes just doing that will solve this problem (especially if the video card is loose - see if the card you plug the cable into moves a little side to side. If so it is loose and needs to be plugged back in).

If none of this helps, you need a new video card. You can get a basic one for as little as $20 if you know where to look, or $60 or so at a large computer store.

no signal usually means that the monitor cable has come unplugged (not the power cable, but the cable that carries the signal from the computer to the monitor).  Double check the connection. Follow the cord from where it comes out the monitor to where it goes on the back of your computer. Make sure it's on the compute tight.  You might even disconnected it, then connect it back again just to make sure. And tighten the screws down that hold it in place.

to determine if it's your monitor or your graphics card. Take the monitor off another computer and hook it up to your sisters computer. If you still get "no signal", then it's probally your graphics card that dead.

Possible problems:

Bad graphics card (most likely)

no driver for graphics card

Cable to the monitor is bad.

Sounds like a hardware issue.
