I had my baby 4 weeks and 5 days ago. My postpartum bleeding stopped about a week and a half ago...could I already be getting ready to start having my periods again?? My back hurts in the lower area, just like it used to during PMS before the pregnancy, and I've been having mad sugar cravings...and I thought maybe I was just grumpy because I'm not getting any sleep w/newborn and all that. The back pain just started yesterday but the rest has been going on for 2 weeks...and 3 days ago I started having creamy white discharge...I'm about to start again aren't I?

  1. Sure sounds like it. After having my first child (and experiencing terrible back labor) I've had back cramps or pains pre and during my monthly period. It never fails, it's a constant companion to my monthly ever since having him. I'd give another day or two (as long as it doesn't get severe or is not accompanied by other symptoms) and then call your OBGYN or midwife and ask about it. If these pains are accompanied by fever, chills, or other symptoms then I'd call much sooner.

    Good luck and God Bless!
