Po102 code mass or volume circut low input?

i have a 96 olds ceria 3.1 v6 codes PO102 and P1406 came up i replaced the egr valve and the P1406 code cleared but the PO102 code came up again how do i fix this i need to go for inspection soon and they wont pass this can anyone give me any detailed instructions how i can fix this the egr valve a has 5 pin plug what is the voltage for each wire on the plug suppose to be... the 5 wires from left to right are gray ,black,brown,gray,red

  1. on that code it means that the sensor is not getting enough voltage to start with. in the cpu is a voltage regulator that drops 12 volts to a 5 volt range. i think that you either have a poor connection at the sensor or lading to it, or the regulator it the cpu is failing. as for the wiring designation, without looking at a wiring diagram, i do not know.  


  2. po102 is the mass air flow sensor circuit. it says in the haynes book it,s low frequency detected. change the mass air flow and see if the light goes out, but unhook the battery first.
