Pocket Too expected to win Go Racing In Yorkshire Handicap
Pocket Too is expected to prevail in the Go Racing In Yorkshire Handicap at Catterick in England on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. The triumphant horse will be awarded a cash prize of £2,045.
The going will be good to soft in the 1 mile, 7 furlong and 177 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 19:40 GMT. A total of 15 runners have lined up for action in the class-6 event and their names are as follows: Pocket Too, Hi Dancer, Ministerofinterior,
Ad Value, Damascus Symphony, Three White Socks, Tarantella Lady, Al Furat, Strong Knight, Dubara Reef, Dan’s Heir, Shirls Son Sam, Seawood, Sposalizio and Srimenanti.
Although Pocket Too does not have an impressive strike rate, the bookies have given him very good odds for the race. He is in very good shape at the moment, thus the punters are also likely to agree with the choice of the bookmakers.
The nine-year-old gelding has got a lot of experience, as he has participated in 67 races until now. However, he has only managed to win 11 times, which shows that he lacks consistency.
In addition to the victories, the Victor Dartnall’s trainee has finished runner up on six occasions whereas took the third spot on the same number of times, which shows that he is fully capable of fighting for top positions.
Importantly, Pocket Too’s recent form has been impressive, as he was victorious in his previous two races. He will be chasing a hat-trick today, but will need to be at his absolute best in order to do so.
Today’s favourite runner will be partnered by veteran jockey, Joe Fanning, who has enjoyed a lot of success in his career. His strike rate has also been good, which will definitely encourage the punters to place some bets in his favour.
Another runner, who has been doing a great job over the past few months, is Hi Dancer. Overall, he has entered 81 events, winning 14 of them and finishing runner up on 12 occasions.
However, the most impressive thing is the recent form of the nine-year-old gelding. He finished runner up in his most recent outing whereas won a couple of back to back events prior to that event.
Ministerofinterior and Ad Value will be the others ones to watch out for in the race at Catterick.
