Hello, I've been looking all over the place on the web, PC world, Curry's, Micromart, Stuff magazine, Gadget show website, and I can't find a single article about those little web surfers, they look like ellectronic dictionaries, there not phones, they have a little screen and keyboard and are just for surfing the web, I think some might be wi-fi, but most connect useing a sim card like a mobile phone. I'm pretty sure I havn't immagined them, that they really exist, but so far I can find no evidence. Would much appriciate any help on offer. Thanks:)

  1. You mean this one from datawind

    http://www.datawind.com/html/Formfactor....

    Or something like these

    http://www.amazon.com/Nokia-N810-Portabl...

    http://www.amazon.com/Sony-COM-2-Persona...

    http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Advantage-X750...

There are a good many but they are scattered when you do searches some are listed in tablet pc some are in internet tablet and others under pocket surfer.

I don,t think so since they require an additional $10.00 a month in addition to an access point .

No other ones do that they use standard internet access points and do not require  you to go through a specific server for it to work.

This is the pocketsurfer2 which is free only the first year.
