Arsenal’s German striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 has admitted that he is settling in just fine at the Emirates and revealed that he can’t wait for the start of the season.
Podolski went on to confirm his transfer to the Emirates following the conclusion of the Euro 2012. His signing was the first that the Gunners made this summer and it paved way for more players to come into the club.
Despite the Gunners not having very successful seasons in recent seasons, Podolski is confident that the team can move forward this coming season, while admitting that he will soon be at a hundred percent.
“I am now two weeks into training and it is not easy when you come back to your club after a European Championship or World Cup,” Podolski told the club’s official website.
“I need some more weeks and then you will see the real Podolski.”
"It has been very good so far. This is a big club with a great coach and I am very proud to be an Arsenal player. I am looking forward to the first match of the season against Sunderland.”
At the moment, Podolski is set to feature for Arsenal in a game against his former club, Cologne. The match was scheduled in honour of this former team and was also part of the striker’s transfer deal.
The German international is hoping to get his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 career off with a bang, even if he does have to score against his former team.
“I’m back home, in my city, and looking forward to the match,” he said.“This is my first match for Arsenal and I am very happy.”
“I hope I can score against Cologne, it is not easy but we want to win the match and then look ahead to the game against Sunderland.”
So far, Wenger has not yet revealed exactly where the attacker will play. He did reveal that he would have a central role, but that is as far as he went, while describing his role in the team.
Nonetheless, it is now a wait to see just where and how the forward settles in at Arsenal.
