Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 has gone on to state that he is willing to play in any position, just as long as he gets playing time with the German national team.
The attacker has only played thirty minutes for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 in the qualifying stages for the 2014 World Cup, and as a result, he has gotten desperate to play and is willing to do so anywhere on the pitch.
With Germany set to take on the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015, Podolski has suggested that he wouldn’t mind playing as a left back, if that is what he needed to do in order to get first team action with the national side.
"Everyone wants to play, but it is important that we reach a common goal," Podolski said in a recent interview.
"It doesn't matter which position I play. I would play at left-back!"
So far, the forward has gone on to score two goals for Arsenal in the league, and has proven to be highly impressive, every time he takes to the field.
However, he did manage to pick up a minor knock in training, which is something that the team is going to assess, before allowing the player to play in any upcoming games.
The German national team’s assistant coach, Hansi Flick, when talking about the knock to Podolski and his team mate is reported to have said: "Yesterday [Monday] Lukas and Mario [Gotze] received treatment"
"Lukas Podolski had some problems with his ankle, Mario with some muscle problems. We decided to spare him towards the end of training today when it became a bit more intensive."
During the games that Podolski has played for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 so far this season, the one thing that has really set him apart is his work rate.
The striker has been exceptional on the pitch and tends to help out with the defence, every time an attack breaks down.
At the same time, his technique and ability going forward are also quite outstanding. Should the national team need someone to give a hundred percent for ninety minutes, then Podolski should, and most probably would be the player who they would opt to play.
