‘My Own Little Angel’
When it will be your time, you will finally be with him.
You will be able to rest, no longer having to swim.
Your life was with him, and it was taken away from you.
He was your lost loved one, but we still tried to help you through.
Thinking back to the struggle you went through, it blows me away.
No one could pull you apart from him, in his arms you would forever stay.
I believe his heart is still with you, although he is gone from sight.
Holding your hand as you lay in bed, squeezing it ever so tight.
He is always on my mind from time to time, but now more than ever.
Staying with me by my side, helping me through that endeavor
Whenever I think I can’t make it through, it is like he is there.
The only way I can thank him for what he has done in a prayer.
Two people that were so in love, were separated, but not for long.
Just as when they were young, their love will hold on, for it is strong.
Before it is your time to go, keep faith because his heart is still here.
Standing beside you, making sure you are safe, wiping away all of your tears.
