Question:

Poem: fallen out of reach?

the smell of roses fills my lungs

i taste sweet honey suckle on my tongue

the warm grass caresses my back

i watch as the sky fades into a ultramarine black

i stare at the stars in the sky

and tears fill my eyes

i wonder which one is you

do you still know who you belong too?

do you ponder over our shattered dreams

and our goals that we never did meet?

about our talk of future bliss

i must admit, you stole my soul with just one kiss

i know you had to take some time to find out who you really are

but this time apart

has left so many scars

you've fallen out of reach

and now i truly see

how much you really mean to me

how could i be so naive?

to just let you up and leave

i feel so alone and scared

i just can not bare

you not being here

i need you near

to come back to me

you've fallen out of reach

  1. WHAT?

  2. I think that is really good.  And if I understand it correctly you are talking about a loved one that died, or about of family member dieing.  It's really good.  I would only suggest that for the last part,  you were rhyming like too much and through the poem off balance.  But, otherwise it was really good!
