Poem of my beloved sport?

Question

The red vs. the blue,

what a wonderful site;

its all one the edge,

of this beautiful night;

anticipation is high,

and passions run deep;

hearts are all buzzing,

without one ounce of sleep;

friends and foes nestled,

close by ones side;

one minute to go,

as we wait for the ride;

And now they are off,

all the colors a blur;

the reds and the blues,

and a yellow? how absurd!

its a tug of war, all through the night;

neither team giving ground,

everyone’s up for the fight;

Stoppage time to go,

no success from either side;

the tension is mounting,

towards the end of the ride;

but now a glimpse of hope,

a long shot down the way;

all the fans are on their feet,

screaming "Crouch? No way!"

Give it up, son. At least until you learn how to construct a poem properly. A few good lines, but let down by even more bad ones.

It is nice to do a poem on your favorite sport

One of the teams would be attempting to win

as the tension is mounting.  

A game would go several hours

and late in the night.
