Poetry technique?

I am looking at Fiona Farrell´s poem "Our trip to Takaka". She uses a technique I have not seen before to join stanzas. She does this six times in this poem. Here is an example:

and there was this spring.

Yes.

This spring.

Another one she does later is this:

And then we went to see

the goldfields.

Yes.

Goldfields.

Does anyone know the literary term that goes with this? There is a literary term for everything!

  1. Yes, there should be a name for it.  I don't know if there is though.

    Great poem though.  For some reason it reminds me a little bit of William Carlos Williams "Red Wheelbarrow," in this childlike way.  

    There's a great quote from the poet.  Not the answer to your question, but helpful none the less:

    Farrell comments: ‘I wanted to write something dead plain about a meeting which moved me deeply. It’s an “Our Trip” story, deliberately flat, in the tradition of those narratives we have been writing since primary school."
