  1. Since I see poetry as being the author's personal of expression of emotion written in verse and with no thought of wheter anyone understand it but me. You think of a subject you have a personal feeling for and sit downand begin to put down your thought and feeling . It does not have to rhyme , it does not have to be anything special . I once wrote a poem about unicorns , it was for my daughter .

Then I wrote another about buggers , and yet another about summer school , and yet one more about fishing . Well you get the point , regardless  of mood , you can always write poetry .

I hope this helps , good luck and God bless

  2. um, it kind of just poops out of me. lol, usually after i've been thinking something.

i say go get something good to drink [chocolate milk, tea, coffee, smoothie whatever] and get comfy and just starting thinking about your life

  3. Think about a situation you were in that was really difficult or painful.  Really put yourself in that time and remember how you fealt and what you did and remember all that you can.  If you can bring yourself back to that pain it may help bring out your creative side without actually having to create a new catastrophy.  Actors do it all the time.

  4. Close your eyes and open a dictionary at random. Point at a word and write it down. Repeat several times. Now you have a pool of words to work with that you may never have thought of in conjunction before. Think of their associations and what they suggest. I know a published poet who sometimes uses this method.

Here's some words I just randomly picked:

    excuse

    quicksand

    leotard

    foliage

    sciatica

    weed

    slay

    ominous

    Good luck!

  5. they just kind of come to me. I am more the instrument. I know that sounds cliche but its kind of what I do when I write

  6. listen to sad songs and then find a story about someone who died tragically and just harp on it and pretend that ur there in that situation, goodsong is Cassie by Flyleaf or Fully Alive
