Hi I am on my second cycle of Clomid, Metformin and trigger shot. Last month my Pogesterone level was 13 I didn’t conceive. Yesterday I did a blood test to check my level and it was 18.5. Is this a good sign? Can I be pregnant this time around? Just wondering if my Pogesterone Level was good or bad? What does it mean? And what is Pogesterone?

  1. It's Progesterone. It is a hormone that is necessary to conceive. Some people don't conceive because their level is too low.

You would have to look under "Infertility Progesterone deficiency" to find out what level is appropriate.

  2. Progesterone is a hormone that can signify whether you ovulated or not when a blood test is performed on the 21st day of your cycle.  18.5 would be high enough to indicate that you did ovulate.  13 is also high enough to indicate ovulation; however, just because you ovulate does not mean that you will conceive on that cycle.  Ovulation is a good sign that you will be pregnant soon if you do not have any other fertility issues.  Best wishes...hope you see two lines soon!
