  1. y - 2 = (2-2)(x-1)/(1-3)

           = 0

    y = 2  The slope is zero and the intercept is 2

  2. the equation for this is y=mx+b

    the m stands for slope and the b stands for y intercept

    since the 2 points make a horizontal straight line, then the slope is 0.

    and the y intercept is 2.

    so you just plug in the numbers and the equation is...

    y = 0x + 2

    but since zero times x is zero you can take out the 0x.

    so you get for your final equation...

    y = 2.

    and that leads back to the graph b/c if you have a horizontal line then you will have y = ???

    for the equation.

    and if the line is perfectly vertical it is undefined.

    and the equation for that is x = ???

    i know you dont need that last part. but now you can be ahead of the class. :)

    but if it confuses you just ignore it.

    good luck with math!

  3. y-y1=m(x-x1)

    (2-2)=(3/0=0)(3-2)

    0=0

  4. y = 2. Always y= or x= if there are two of the same coordinate on the graph.

  5. The line has no slope

    slope intercept form : y= 1

  6. it is a horizontal line graph....in y=mx+b form it would come out to be

    y= 0x+2(because m is slope, and horizontal lines dont slant)...then your would simplify it and have just plain old y=2....so if x=3 y=2 (3,2) if x=1 then y=2 (1,2)
