Pointe ahhhhhhhhhhh?

Question

I'm starting on pointe after the 6 weeks summer holidays. My coach is putting me in a class that have been on pointe for at least 2 years. Any suggestions?

Don't be nervous. you're teacher wouldn't put you somewhere you wouldn't be ready to be. Just take your time, and pretend you still have your soft shoes on. You just have to work your foot harder and keep your ankle strong. Work hard and be open and receptive to corrections and help. You'll be fine!

don't be worried! I'm taking a pointe class with people who have been on pointe for 2 years also! i was a little scared too, but your teacher wouldn't put you in a class just to embarrass you. she must think your ready for that kind of class. take it as a compliment! good luck :]
