Pointe exercises to do at home?

I'm not on pointe yet, but hopefully I'll go on soon. Do you know any good excercises i could do at home without pointe shoes that could help me in pointe?

  1. I would do a lot of articulating through the foot. do one at a time first, then do both at the same time. a good one is to plie onto releve and push up. do it slowly. Do lots of eleves and and releves slowly and then do them fast. therebands also help too. roll through the foot on them a couple times. Pointe is fun but painful! Try to develope some  callasis before you go on.

  3. lots and lots of releves. Do them when you're brushing your teeth. Do them while you're brushing your hair. Do them while you're helping your Mom stir the gravy. : P The point is...just do them whenever you can....

    This will help strenghten your ankles and prepare you for pointe.

  4. Do what you practice in your ballet class. I'm not on pointe yet either. Practice 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th potion on relive. Also I would practice tendus. Good luck!
