  1. i have been a pointe dancer for like 2 and 1/2 years. and ive gone through every brand of pads. i usually wear ouch pouches in a medium or large with gel tips around my toes that blister a lot. my most favorite pair though are gellows they are really comfy and all you have to do to keep them from slipping is line them with baby powder. i would recommend lambs wool or the pads made out of them becuase they get moist slip and blister really easily.

  2. The gel pads you slip over all your toes, you should definitely wear.

    this website may help (up)

and if you get a blister on one toe in particular, buy a mini-toepad at a drug store to slip over one toe. It helps!

  3. (Your link doesn't work) I have grishko 2007's as well, and I have basic Ouch Pouches. Just go to discountdance.com and search Ouch Pouch!...I started with Bloch Sonata's and lambs wool but after two weeks switched to grishko 2007's and Ouch Pouches. I have had the same toe pads ever since, and they are great! They might get really dirty, but that's okay because you can just wash them (by hand) with soap and water and they'll be just like new! How long have you been on pointe? Because I suggest Ouch Pouches especially for beginners because they give you more padding than lamb's wool, but not as much as the thicker gel pads. You can feel the floor with Ouch Pouches but you still get good padding. Hope this helps! =]

  4. the brown one is the best the guy in colorado springs said so

    brown ones

do NOT wear them the same way if u flip them in side out be sure to reverse the stiching by getting the toe pad then roll your thumb at the stiching (on the ends) it depends how much u wear them that they get worn out

    hope it helps

  5. my personal favorite type of padding to use is lamb's wool, it's soft, flexible, molds to your foot, and works well with any type of shoe; but it can get a bit smelly after lots of use.

gel pads also work quite well, but if you use gel pads, wear tights with holes in the feet and wear the pads inside your tights, that way they'll slide into your pointe shoes more easily.

if you want gel pads but not the hassle of holed tights, try ouch pouch toe pads.  they're basically gel pads with fabric over them.

and if you ever need extra padding in only one or a few places, try loose lamb's wool stuffed where you need it.

pointe pads usually last about a year, depending on how often you use them, but make sure to replace them if they get holey or thin; they won't provide adequate protection.  hope it helped!
