I bought a pair of grishko's (dont know what model, but i think 2007) and its width is x*x.I have a classmate that has grishko as well and her feet are wider than mine but her's are x and every time i put a foot in her pointe i can't even get it in completely and she sais that she can "swim" in my pointe shoes. How come? And is it true that more narrow point shoes are more beautifull than more wider shoes? (not extra wide)

  1. i used to wear grishko 2007's as well. does she have the same style as you? are hers pro 2007's? maybe they are elites or proflexes. all pointe shoes are different since they are hand made. i am thinking you two have different types of grishkos

  2. The width of a pointe shoe depends on the length of it too, so even though your friend's foot is wider then yours, if her foot is longer than yours too, her feet might be more proportioned so that even though hers are wider, yours are wider for the length of your foot. Does that make sense? It's kind of hard to explain. As for what is more beautiful, the most beautiful shoe is the one that fits the dancers foot and completes the line of the leg, so it really could be either depending on the dancer's body.
