Pointe strength?

today i got my first pointe shoes any way i can become very strong on pointes such as exercises

  1. Sure, there are lots of ways to help your arch reach it's full potential. I love the items they have at Discount Dance, they really help!

    I suggest the Pro Arch (can be found under 'Health and Fitness'), Dr. Roth's Arch Band Support (can also be found under 'Health and Fitness'), and an exercise band. You can usually get exercise bands in different strengths (medium, heavy, super heavy.) and i suggest the heaviest you can get. That way it works out your foot/arch much better (this can also be found, once again, under 'Health and Fitness').

  2. well you need to make sure you are strong enough before you start doing excercises on pointe. I wud think you are but just make to be sure rise up to demi pointe 20 times every morning and night. When your sure your ready go up on full pointe then go up for a few seconds at a time and also just walk around flat footed in your pointe shoes or sleep in them to wear them in properly.

    If you do feel ready to really do some excerises then releve into 5th then come down and reneve into second. do this quickly and do it alot but be careful not to injusre ure ankles so you need to make sure you stretch out properly before and after doing excercises.

    When you first start please dont over do it
