Points for tinted windows?

Question

I know you can get pulled over and fined for having illegally tinted windows, but does it cost points on your record too? I've heard no since it's not a moving violation... but it kind of seems like it is in a way...

So besides costing a money fine, do you get points added to your record too?

i have received a ticket for my tinted windows but the jerk gave it to me as a non correctable ticket/ traffic violation...

got the ticket in the mail and it was $123 compared to 15 fix it ticket...

does that mark points on my record....

No, points are only for moving violations like you said. No seat belt, tinted windows, music too loud are all examples of what you will be fined for but no points on your record.

If you say that you'll fix them they just give you a warning.

only if they impound the car.  super rare unless you've got these tickets before and you get the same cop.  no points on a fix-it ticket..
