Points from National City Bank?

Question

Does anyone else have a "points" account from national city bank?

when i signed up it says that purchases with your debit card used at stores that you enter your PIN number into do not count for points. that seems kind of pointless to me because with previous debit cards i've had i want to say about 90% of my purchases are made with the little touch pad devices that you enter your PIN number into

Is this true?

I'm guessing that your debit card has a charge card logo on it.  I only have a debit cards, so I'm guessing here.  If you tell them to charge it you probably won't have to use your pin, but you might incur interest charges.  Not sure how it works for sure, but know there has to be something in it for the bank to be giving you points.
