Points on a driving license...?

If I drive another persons van but am named on their insurance, what happens if I have an accident......will it just affect their no-claims bonus or will mine on my own vehicle be affected. If I get points on my license how much would my own insurance premium go up (on average)..?

  1. It will affect you as driver AND the Policyholder. You are obliged to tell your own insurance company of ANY accidents within a set period of time ( usually 5 years) failure to do will mean you have made a false declaration to obtain Insurance, that is  an offence for which you could appear in a Court


  2. It will all depend on who caused the accident, won't it.!!

  3. i forgot to tell them and now 4 years later i had to pay 127 pnds cos i had 3 pnts.61pnd  1st yr 31pnd scnd yr 16 pnd 3rd yr and abt 15 pnd this yr. if u pay monthly its not that bad
