Poisin grasshopper?

there,s theese wierd spider things with only six legs next no bag worms in a tree my friend said there somekind of poisin grasshopper but they don't even hop they have red stripes on there back what are they

  1. I'm not aware of any poisonous grasshoppers.  They eat 'em in a lot of countries.  Maybe your friend is teasing you.

    This is purely a guess on the other weird spider thing; it sounds like an insect (six legs) and it COULD be a box elder bug.  They're very common at certain times of the year.  If that's not it, and you have more information, get back to us.  Good luck.  http://www.ivyhall.district96.k12.il.us/...


  2. Could you give some additional detail?  Like what color, shape etc.....and by the way, what does this phrase mean, that you wrote:  with only six legs next no bag worms in a tree my freind....

    Does your insect look like this:

    if it does, then it is a red and black striped longhorn
