Poison control specialist as a career?

What would this fall under? Say I want to specialize in spider bites, insect bites, snake bites, etc. What would this fall under? I could also research diseases such as malaria and things that come along with bites.

You will need a very strong background in biology and chemistry to understand how the toxins affect the body and how to counteract them.  You should consider searching for colleges that have professors with similar interests as you so you can gain as much knowledge relevant to your goals as possible.
