This morning my jack russell of 6 months was let out of his pen just for a run around..i was in the garden when he stumbled towards me, his back legs where weak and he had diarrea, i took him into the house and he vomitted twice, it was foamy and kind of eggy... i took him to the vet and he is currently there on a drip...im soo worried that he wont pull through, the vet said he 'might' have to be put down... whats the odds of him getting better?...

thanks

  1. I Hope he is okay. Just stay with him and hope for the best!

  2. Oh my god. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm not a vet so I can't give you a good answer for that. All I can say is that you made a great choice by taking him to the vet immediately unlike some people on here who have a sick dog and expect to find the cure just by asking some people on a forum. He's in good hands all you can do is pray for the best. Often times dogs pull through when the owner discovers it in time. Do you keep him outside or is he an inside dog that you just let out for a while? If you keep him outside I'd advise against that not only bc I think it's wrong for dogs to live outside but also because they're exposed to any sicko who might want to hurt animals.Good luck to you and I hope he's ok.

  3. I Agree With Denise A Small Mistake Cud Cost Your dogs Life. I Suggest You Bring him into the house so he doesnt catch any Virus or disease. Coz Atm I believe his ammunity System Its so Weak He shud lay down in ur house. And btw If UIr vet isnt Sure Take him to another vet To Ask for suggestions maybe the other vet Can Know Whats wrong with your Dog.

  4. Aww!I'm sorry about your pup! While at home you could look around in your yard for whatever your dog got in and then tell your vet what it is. Maybe then they can help more! Or you can call the poison control while your dog is at the vet once you find what your pup got into

I hope your pup gets better. The odds of him getting better are 50/50!

  5. Could be? That means your vet isn't sure...? A small mistake could cost your dog's life...

I advise you to consult some dog experts if you now some and friends who knows..

    Also call other veterinary office.

Some don't require you to go to them, they just answer the questions through phone...

I'm sorry but i have no idea.

I hope your dog gets better
