Ok so i found this spider outside my house in Michigan. It has a huge *** web and its really big, with yellow markings on the back. it has a larger thorax than its heead, and medium sized legs. the yellow patches on its back form a sort of eagle shape from one angle and a face-like shape from another nagle. is this spider poisonous? what kind of spider is it?

  1. Learn to ID spiders, here -

  2. Uhhh is it round?

That kinda sounds like an orb weaver but I couldn't tell you with out a pic.

Google that, if it is then its not but don't mess with them either they get rid of bugs!

  3. Everyone has a different idea of what "really big" means, but I'll take a guess that it may be a St. Andrew's Cross Spider, (Argiope aurantia). They aren't harmful to humans, and pretty much keep to themselves.

    Here are some pic's:

    Hope that helps.
