Does anyone know of any big festivals in Poitou Charentes? As well as famous actors/actresses and/or singers?

Yes, the most famous festivals are:

- les Francofolies de la Rochelle (in La Rochelle): a music festival with French-language singers and bands from all over the world.

- Le Salon International de la Bande-Dessinée (in Angoulêmes): the international comics festival.

According to Wikipedia there are a few other festivals:

- the Festival du Film Policier (in Cognac): detective film festival

- the International Folklore Festival (in Confolens)

- Le Grand Pavois (a nautical event in la Rochelle)

And I am sure there are dozens of smaller, less-known festivals in the region as anywhere else in France.

As for actors and singers, I don't really know, except for French actor Bernard Giraudeau, who is from la Rochelle.
