Pokemon Diamond battle tower team?

Question

ok i have just beaten the tower tycoon palmer, the first time you vs him. After i beat him i tend to always lose after, so i was thinking what team would be best suited agianst the battle tower.

Also i have noticed that when you register pokemno that are like lv 100 the battle tower cuts them down to lv 50, does that lower all your pokemno stats to what they were like at lv 50.

also if i ev train my pokemon to lv 100 does the ev's still show when i use him in battle tower and they cut his lv to lv 50?

the same thing happened to me. people tend to recommend Metagross and a dragon type like Garchomp. and it does cut your pokemon down to level 50, stats and HP.
