i bought the game today, and i need to know how to recrute pokemon

I think after a dungeon or 2, after you beat a wild Pokemon, there is a chance that they ask to join your team.

please follow--> CHAPTER 5 - THE FIRST EXPLORATION

1- chatot orders you to investigate the waterfall east of treasure town.

2- the chimeco assembly opens now you can add more friends 2 your team

3- marowak dojo opens

4- head towards the mysterious waterfall  & enter the watefall cave in back

WATEFALL CAVE- 8 FLOORS

1- reach B8F

2- get swept away by the current & fall into the hot spring

3- speak to the elder torkoal & learn where to find the hot spring

4- wigglytuff tells you you've been nominated for the big expediton
