Pokemon Pearl!!!??? Help!?

How do I get eggs? I got one but it was from a man............. And What Pokemon do I use??????? PLEASE HELP!?

ok if you want to hatch that egg you have then walk 6000 steps and it wil hatch into a level 1 baby hapiny it knows pound and takel you cant get ditto in that game and you breed by going in to a building and talk to a old lady give her a male and female pokemon same type  then leve and walk for 6 min then talk to the old man out side and he will give you a egg the pokemon in side the egg will hatch into the same pokemon as the female that you gave to the old woman but will be level one

from your leaf green you have to beat the pokemon leage first..you havent done that =]

so wait until i tell you wht to do so you can get you eggs..=]

You go Soleceon City or whatever and on the left, there should be a building with a man in front of a fence.  Inside, there is a lady, you talk to her and she says to choose the pokemon that you want her to raise.  Talk to her again and do the same thing (now you have 2 pokemon).  Walk around for a while and come back; the man should have stepped out.  Talk to him and you will receive the egg.

As for the types of pokemon that can breed together... go to http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/ and choose a pokemon. Towards the end of the page, it shows you which other pokemon it can breed with.

you have to put male and female pokemon of same type in day care in Soloction town or put Male/female pokemon with ditto and walk around in the room next to you with green floor for about 1 hour and talk to day care man and he will give you an egg

Ok,in solaceon town,there is a daycare centre.If you don't have a ditto(highly recommended) it is a little harder to breed.You see each pokemon is put into a group like,Monster,water1,water2 etc.The pokemon in the same group can mate.Ditto can mate with every pokemon,except legends and nidos.For eg. If you put a Female pikachu,with a male cherrim,you will get a egg from the man outside the daycare. if you don't know what pokemon are in the same group,just ask the daycare man out the front,and if he says,"they seem to get along" they will breed. It doesn't matter for ditto though.Also here's a tip,if you get a pokemon which has the ability,flash fire, and put it in yuor party,the egg will take half the time to hatch.
