  1. You have a few options:

    1. Go to a wireless hotspot. (McDonalds, Starbucks, Library)

    2. Buy Wireless internet. ( I use 2Wire)

    3. Buy a Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector. (Target, Nintendo.com)

    1. To connect to a wireless hotspot all you have to do is say look for connection then you should have it without having to type a password or any of that type of stuff.

    2. To connect to wireless internet you will have to search for an access point, type in a password, and you are done! The password is often on the sticker on the bottom of the little tower thing.

    3. No, getting a Nintendo Wi-Fi enabler will not hurt your computer! It is the same way to connect just like any other wireless internet connection.

  2. I think you need a router .....

I think you CAN conncet online with some wire that you can buy somewhere ( Target , Walmart ..ect ) But you neent to have internet connction somehow . ( Ex : libery sp? , Mc dalels )

  3. You need to buy a thing called "Wi-Fi USB Connector"

You can find more information in http://pokemonbattlestrades.77forum.com/...

  4. If you want to do it wireless than you will have to buy a router which costs $50.00 but there is an alternative with a WiFi usb connector.  I'm not sure where it is available but the link in the sources from a question from a year ago said it could be found at Walmart.  Maybe Amazon or Walmart.com still may carry one.  I hope this helps.

    UPDATE:

Since I last answered this question, which helped my problem as well, I've found out that Nintendo.com no longer has the USB connector available and that they are hard to find. I did buy one online at www.toystoreinc.com for $50 which included shipping.
