Pokemon diamond:different color roselia?

Question

while i was catching wild pokemon in the trophy garden, i caught a roselia whose color was different from that of a regular roselia,and when i looked at its summary, it had a red star on top of its picture.

what does all this mean?

Wow those things are rare.  It's a shiny pokemon, and generally you can only find one in each game if you get lucky enough.  Good job!

That means it's shiny and getting a shiny pokemon is almost impossible to get! Personally, I've never caught a shiny pokemon myself.
