Pokemon fans - i have a question...?

...okay maybe 3 questions. but don't worry, nothing too big. alrighty, here we go....

1. how old were you when you started getting into pokemon?

2. do you still like it and if so, how old are you now?

3. do people get on you for playing it?

1. i started getting into pokemon by the age of 5 - pikachus!

2. i still play the games from time to time and i'm 14/15

3. my family (especially brother) gets on my case saying that i should grow up, it's not like a pikachu's going to hop down upon you from a nearby tree, lol.

ok, let me lay this out. I started playing the games when they came out in like 4th or 5th grade. They were awesome then,  very new original rpg concept, and the best you had on a hand held. Before it was a craze age didn't matter. The PR people ruined the image and now its a 5 year old concept that they keep beating like a dead horse, their fans grew up, not everyone stopped enjoying the game. All of us wish they would make a game that isnt totally geared for children in tone.

I am 22 now, and have the games on my droid, mostly for passing time between classes and what not.

If people get on your case you can probably laugh off your older brother. You are at an age that just sucks for that kind of thing. I didnt play them in HS and if I did it was in my own home. After you are done you begin to realize ppl have way more to worry about than what game you are playing. if its family just make sure pokemon is not the only thing you are doing, lol. if it is friends, I suggest you either find new friends or just get comfortable with it and let them deal with it. If that is an issue to your friends... well they are pretty pathetic excuses of friendships then. s**t gets better, do what you enjoy.
