Pokemon pearl version! help please?

ok so i started a new game on it.. and i cant save until i press the up button, the "b" button, and select. but it says i need to do that on the title screen. do i have to exit out?? i dont want to loose my new game!!! please help me! thanks

Try saving like you normally would. If your starting a new game it may be neccesary to do to delete the old game file. But I've never heard of that. It may also be neccesary for some of the games settings. Just do what the screen says.
