on pokemon gold what item do you need to get past the whrilpools to get to cianwood town?(btw its pokemon shiny gold but is basicly the same thing)

You need the HM Whirlpool to get past the whirlpools, but you can still get to cianwood by just using the HM surf.

why you still play pokemon gold i know its fun but get pokemon diamond or pearl and get wifi
