No all 3 pokemon are the same not wierd.

If you're going to fight gyms it depends on which reigon you're in - Blue, Red, Yellow, Leaf Green and Fire Red - Kanto

Gold, Silver and Crystal - Johto

Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald - Hoenn

Diamond and Pearl - Sinnoh

Fire is usually the best for me

you have a disadvantage in th first 2 gyms but after that ( because u had to level up more beat the gyms ) the rest of the games is a lot more fun

plus charizard and blaziken look cool
