Pokemon wi fi connection?

i found the thing where you can trade pokemon world wide how do i do it will it work if i turn on my ds and go to the wi fi place in jubilife city i am confused

put in any game that uses the option of wi-fi playing. then select wi-fi options. touch the setup and then touch the first slot. match all the required information from the internet server neer you to the ds. then hit 'test connection'. if it works, then the ds and game card will have both been set up for wi-fi. connect to wi-fi in mid-game by going to the place in jubilife. you will be allowed in.

you have to set up your Wi-Fi connection first.

This only works if you have a wireless internet thing, like a D-link

you don't have to have a D-link but just something like it.
