what is the point of lagging tail and the iron ball in the game? Doesn't make sense to me.

well iron ball is the heavest item in the game and can be used with the move fling. Check out these sites for more info.

it's for the move fling and i think it is horrible(the items not the move)

If iron ball is held, and then the move fling is used, the damage is really high (130 if i remember correctly)

Lagging tail could be used if your using Trick room, as it will then allow you to go first.

use them for the move fling! or if your pokemon has the move payback or revenge use your item lagging tail or iron ball so your opponent atacks first you can use revenge or payback to do double damage on them because if your opponent attacks first your move will be doubled! so use the item to let them go first!
