  1. swimming with the devilfish is a good book .also theres a dvd  called how to play poker and win with  phil . that cricket player .. theres loads on ebay

  2. dependant on your level,

eric lindgren has a good book, on tournaments, he brings math into it too.. good strategy for winning-not surviving.

dan harringtons is a great book,

    and if you get ADVANCED,

    look for

Kill Phill, and Kill All, by lee nelson, and the sklansky book, they bring in complex maths and take ur game to a different level.

makes you remember when you thought check raising was the mutts nutts. ha.

    g'luck.

  3. Personally I don't like Brunson's books mostly for the fact I don't think I'm getting much bang for my buck.  I'm paying $20-$30 on a book that dedicates only a  few chapters to Hold 'Em.  I'm not planning on playing deuce to seven lowball or stud eight or better so I feel I can get better value from another book.  Harrington's books are good.  I like Scott Fischman's book because it has an extensive section on Sit n Go's.

    Good Luck.

  4. For cash game Doyle Brunson Super System 2.

For tournament play TJ cloutier Tournament Poker.

  5. Harrington on Hold'em

That is all you need.  They are incredible books and based strictly on tournaments.

    Amazon.com immeddddddddddiatley :)

  6. Some of the best books are:

    1.  Doyle Brunson-Super System I&II

    2.  Phil Hellmuth Jr - Play Poker Like the Pros

  7. just finished 'theory of poker' by Slansky, a pro on fulltiltpoker recommended it and i know why now, teaches u to think like a pro player

  8. Dan Harrington`s books "Harrington on Hold ém" are the most solid work done on tournaments.

Equally good for beginners and experts!
