Just want to clarify that Texas hold'em is the game where the players have 2 cards each and the flop is 5 cards? If so how do you play this game?

  1. I really can't spend all this time explaining it, it is rather complicated to play Texas Hold 'em right. Here is the wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_hold_... Find a friend who knows how and he or she can explain it much better.

  2. I love this game.  Happy to explain.

First off, Everyone antes up, which means they place a required amount of chips (you decide how much) into the middle of the table. <-- This happens every hand.  The Dealer shuffles the deck and hands each player, including himself (if he wishes to play) two cards, both face down.  Then , when everyone has their two cards, the dealer has the deck face down, and burns a card before delivering the flop of three cards all at once..  To burn a card means to take the first card from the top of the deck and (without revealing it) set it aside.  The burn card is out of play.  Then after, the first three cards are revealed and placed out on the table, the players can either make make bets or check when its their turn (you decide the order or turns).  To check means to say that you do not wish to bet.  However, if someone does make a bet, you will have to match him if you wish to remain in the game.  If you don't, you can choose to fold your hand.  You can also raise the bet so other players will have to match you.  After all bets are made concerning the first three flop cards, the dealer burns another card and then reveals the next flop card.  The players can once again make bets.  Then the deal burns another card and reveals the final flop card.  Again, bets are made.  Then, players place their cards face up in order of turns (the dealer can go last).  Whoever has the best hand wins the pot in the middle of the table.  The best hand rankings are, from weakest to strongest:

    1)  A high card, such as an ace, with a kicker.

    2)  A pair (two fives or two queens, etc, you must have a card in your hand that creates it))

    3)  Two Pair

    4) Three of a kind

    5) Straight (2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or another variant)

    6) Flush (five cards of the same suit, such as 5 heart cards)

    7) Full House (three of one card and two of another)

    8) Four of a Kind

    9) Straight flush (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, all of the same suit)

    10)  Royal Flush (Ten, Jack, Queen, King, Ace, all of the same suit)

  3. ever player get 2 cards

then you go around and bid on what you already know about your cards.

then 3 cards will turn over this is called the the flow

and then players can bid more or fold

then 1 card will turn over this is called the river

then players get to bid some more

then the last card is fliped and this is called the flop

and this is ur last time to bid or fold

    hope this helps

    good luck
