  1. It's representing a poker hands strength with a bet or a raise when your hand doesn't have the strength that  the bet or raise is supposed to represent. Usually hoping the other player(s) will fold their hands and you can steal the pot.

  2. i guess wen u have a make it seem like u have a good hand wen u dont

  3. It means lying

  4. In poker, to bluff is to bet or raise with an inferior hand, or with a hand believed to be inferior. This is useful because it can cause other players to believe the bluffing player has a dominant hand, so that they all fold; the bluffing player then wins the pot. By extension, the terms are often used outside the context of poker to describe the acts of pretending knowledge one does not have, or making threats one cannot execute.

Bluffing is best with a very small pot because no one really wants to vie for it with you. They think to themselves, "alright, if he has something good, he'll win. If he doesn't, I might win but it's not worth the risk." Although it doesn't seem like much money, it can be your edge if you do it well.

But be aware that bluffing can go wrong and cause you to lose a lot of money.

  5. It means playing like you've got a pair even when you know you don't.
