There are so many poker rooms on the web, but I want to know the most popular from all the poker rooms. If you can suggest a site that I could play on.

  1. Unfortunately, that is going to be hard to find.

See, there are a ton of poker review sites out there, and they get paid a commission by the poker sites for publicity.  As a result, most poker review sites are more about that commission than giving an honest opinion of the major poker sites.

However, the biggest is without a doubt Poker Stars, with over 100,000 players online most nights.  They arguably created the poker boom, by sending Chris Moneymaker to the World Series of Poker in 2003.  His $40 qualifier on Poker Stars earned him his $10,000 seat at the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, and he won $2.5m.  The rest is history.

They also have famous player endorsements including some other Main Event champions and some other pros including Daniel Negreanu.

I like the Poker Stars software.  You can change the appearance of the poker tables a lot, even put your own background design on.  Very configurable and a ton of tournaments.

My second favorite site is Full Tilt Poker.  Another major player with probably more celebrity players than any other site.  If you want to watch people like Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen have at it, you can watch them play live for crazy stakes and $10,000 (or more) pots.

Again, some great software a lots of games.  Very well respected.

Other good sites include BoDog Life, Ultimate Bet, Doyles Room, Pacific Poker, and Party Poker (if you are not American).

But I've enjoyed Tilt and Stars for about five years now.  I always seem to go back and forth between them, depending on mood.  I've not seen anything to rival them really.

  2. Poker stars is a good choice.

I have a list of really bad ones on my site, you may want to look it over if you decide to join any site that offers poker or other casino games.

  3. I play at Stars and Full Tilt, but it really depends on what you're looking for.  To use someone else's rankings might not fit in to the type of game you prefer.  I'd recommend reading the comprehensive reviews of top poker sites at http://dagus-statistics.com/reviews.htm and decide which fits your needs most.  You'll also be able to pick the site with the most favorable bonus offer for you as well as a list of deposit and withdrawal methods for each.  Hope this helps!

  4. The two largest are PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. I think Stars is slightly bigger but those are the two best sites.

  5. I recommend Doyles Room, its a great site, its got great tournament and allows you to play free or real moeny... Its endorsed by Doyle Brunson himself!
