hey i am looking for a poker site where you can play for points free and maybe get lucky to turn points into cash etc and any free literature about texas hold em stratigies etc thanks michael

The strategies with free money are pretty basic - wait until you get a good hand then push it hard.  Other players will be playing weak hands since there's no real incentive to fold.  There's a ton of free information on the internet about poker strategy although it's more geared toward real money games and would be way too tight for the kind of games you're talking about.  The best piece of advice though at these games is whoever folds the most wins but don't get too crazy with the idea and wait for the best starting hands to play.  Remember though that the more people in the pot, and there's always lots at free games, the stronger final hand you need so don't get carried away with even top pair because it more than likely won't be good enough with the 5 or more players fishing around.  I'd stick any two cards of 10 or more, and suited connectors (2 consecutive cards of the same suit).  Watch your position because the closer you are to the dealer the less people will be acting in front of you and the less chance you'll have to toss your hand to too big of a raise downstream and lose your bet.

if your seriously trying to win some prizes and maybe even cash, be careful playing in the free games. Its a madhouse with everybody going all in throughout the first two or three hands dealt. Theres nothing to lose so everyone goes all in with weak cards. fold the first couple of hands and then you should be down to the better players who enjoy the game and make it more fun and challenging.

You don't say if you are a USA Player, but I am going to give you USA information, and it also applies ot most other countries, too.
