PokerStars Question!!!!!?

Question

is playing online at pokerstars for real money legal or illegal in the state of new jersey, also when you win real money you could cash out with no problen right because i've heared people won money on line after they put in money but couldn't cash it out, i don't know if this was pokerstars thou.

I just want an answer from someone who plays for real money at pokerstars because if it is illegal in new jersey to gamble online or you can't cash out for some reason, I'll be pissed if they take the money i put in.

Certain states do have specific laws regarding online gambling, and poker is considered online gambling, so it is deemed illegal in those states.

New Jersey is not one of them.

These are the states:

Illinois

Indiana

Louisiana - felony

Michigan

Nevada - ( can you believe this? lol)

New Jersey

New York

Oregon

South Dakota

Washington - felony

Wisconsin

As a rule, you will not likely encounter any issues with deposits or payouts with Pokerstars. I play there in tournaments and have cashed out with reasonable ease. You will need a method to deposit, Visa Gift cards work there, and you can withdraw by several methods, listed in the cashier area of the site.

Although the states that have laws pertaining to online gambling might be particularly vague from one state to another, it would be hard to assume that there will be any chance of prosecution in the near future.  To date, I have not read anything about trouble from players gambling online.  

Cashing out is easier than you think.  The check isn't written from Poker Stars (or any poker site, for that matter), it is written from one of the banks they use, and there is no indication of whether or not it is from a poker site.
