  1. Poker stars is one of the best poker sites, but also try http://bettingwise.hit.bg/FulltiltPoker....

Its also a very good poker site

  2. Being a good live player doesn't necessarily translate to being a good online player.

You have to adjust your game to pick up on tells online.  Since physical tells are out of the question, you have to play closer attention to betting patterns and timing.  Also consider that the anonymity of the Internet allows players to play bad poker without having to show their face.  With more people playing bad hands, combined with the increased hands per hour, you will see more bad beats, donks connecting with their draws, hitting one outers, etc.

If you can adjust your game to be a successful online player, and can remain disciplined with your bankroll and with your hand choices, then you'll start winning online, as well.

  3. Nope, i don't.  I never played poker in my life before playing on pokerstars.  A year later, I'm up.

  4. Online poker requires a different skill set to become a winner than live game poker.  There are no guarrantees in life, but I do believe that if you look hard enough for certain instances to occur you will find them.  For example, take any two random cards like Jack and Six and I bet now you will see those a lot on flops and be like "Wow, Jacks and Sixes do appear a lot on the flop"  Your mind will play tricks on you.

  5. i see some strange things going on, but it seems to be happening to everyone i talked to. some of the oddities that have happened to me:

    1. Lost over $200 in one weekend exclusively because i went 0 for 20 on big pairs, JJ and up.

    2. Lost 18 out of 20 AA, nearly every single time when I was a 80% or better favorite, and nearly always to them hitting trips. Of the two I won, one was a fold around when I went all in, the other was when my AA finally stood up to JJ on the 4th try.

    3. Last night, out of 8 hands in a row, 5 of them were 95os.

    4. I lost two $11 +R 50k guaranteed tourneys in a row on the third hand when my top pair met trips. The 2nd time, they hit quads on the river.

    5. After winning a a $11/180, i lost the next 20 tourneys in a row, finally cashing in 5th on the 21st, and then losing the next 10 (currently still on the same losing streak.)

    6. Today, QQ went 1 for 6. Several times, AA and/or KK will lose more than 80% of the time for a short stretch.

In summary, unbelievable losing streaks can and do occur with regularity. I'm rather surprised you don't experience the same thing in live games. Mike Matusow and that annoying Poker Brat guy never tire of complaining about it.

  6. Hence the name.. Jokerstars..

    Its rigged! lol

  7. i just won a freeroll last week. , But like they were saying people play c**p hands online. Thats why live in the casino is where im at if i can help it. i do love me some pokerstars

  8. There are too many players playing more than 10,000 hands a week, who track their play using poker tracking software like Poker Tracker or Poker Office, for it to be rigged. They would see that it is rigged, and we would know, because news spreads quickly online.

You never hear the top pros saying online poker is rigged.

  9. As long as there is computer on the other end - there is no guarantee. I'm 100% sure that betfair poker have bots (artificial players).

I won at pokerroom and got my account blocked (no valid reason), chargeback got my initial deposit back...

If you check the advertising rates on poker resource sites, + the small amount of unique visitors they get, divide by the number of sites they advertise, you'll get some estimate cost per player (very high). Add some fraud to this and you'll see that poker sites simply can't stay in business if they dont cheat!

Best solution - play with friends, it's much more fun :)
